Types of Visa and Cost
Single-entry: £60 (Tourist or Transit); £80 (Business). Double-entry: £110 (Tourist or Transit); £150 (Business). Multiple-entry: £280 (business) £200 (tourist).

Warning
Most visits are trouble-free, but visitors should be aware that crime is increasing, particularly in Libreville and Port-Gentil.
Ali Bongo, the son of Gabon's long serving President Omar Bongo, was inaugurated as the new President of Gabon on 16 October 2009. There was some unrest following the results of the elections on 3 September 2009. The situation across the country has now stabilized. There are currently no travel restrictions for Gabon.
The threat from terrorism is low. Travelers should be aware of the global risk of indiscriminate terrorist attacks, which could be against civilian targets, including places frequented by foreigners.

Health Care
Travelers in rural areas should take a first-aid kit with anti-tetanus and anti-venom serums. Medical facilities are limited. Comprehensive medical insurance is essential.

* A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from all travelers over one year of age. Yellow fever risk is particularly high in Ogooue-Ivindo province.
